Last
October 30 th, we celebrated
Halloween at ALKOR
school. It is a very important festival for us,
because we are
a bilingual school
and we adapt many of the traditions of English-speaking
countries to our curriculum.
This year we had a great time, celebrating and participating
in this event. We played a lot of games and activities,
we dressed as witches, pumpkins, ghosts, vampires,
monsters, bats ...
|
We did some activities prior to the festival:
In each class, age, we made different drawings related
to Halloween, which decorated the school (walls,
columns, hallways, classrooms, hall, doors ...)
Each class did something different:
- 1 year: we made ghosts with the imprint of
fingers of each child
- 2 years: we made ghosts as well but this time
decorated with stamps.
- 3 years: we painted pumpkins orange, then all
together created three giant pumpkins that our
teacher hung from the ceiling.
- 4 years also painted pumpkins and put on the
doors of each class.
- 5 years: we colored black cats that we put in
the hallway

|
We already had decorated the school! It turned
out very nice, but it was a little scary and even
scarier when we put on Halloween music in the entrance
to the school. |
|
Finally came the big day! We had a great time
... You want to know what we did? .We went to the
school´s theatre and the teachers, who were
disguised as witches and cats, made a play that
we liked very much, “Black cats”. |
|
 Then
we went to the dining room, where we played typical
Halloween games like "trick or treated",
"Guess who I am," "Where is the flashcard,"
...
|
| Later
in each class the teacher made some drawings of
Halloween (bat, witch hat, cat, pumpkin, ghost ...)
in the blackboard and we painted it with colored
chalk. All the classes were very nice.
We also made very large murals with our hands.
We drew eyes and a mouth and they appeared to be
ghosts, each child named our ghost. We even have
it hanging in class and it makes us very excited
see them every day...! |
